The AIKOM program is open to those who will be third or fourth year undergraduates in good standing at their home university at the time when the Program begins. Since the basic AIKOM Program is offered in English, non-native speakers sould have sufficient English ability. A TOEFL score of at least 550 on the paper based test (213 CBT, 80 IBT) is preferred. Applicants should note that no courses are available in scientific or technical fields. While knowledge og the Japanese language or a major dealing with Japan are not required, students who have demostrated a strong interest in Japan are preferable.
