University of Tokyo – AIKOM Scholarship

The AIKOM program is open to those who will be third or fourth year undergraduates in good standing at their home university at the time when the Program begins. Since the basic AIKOM Program is offered in English, non-native speakers sould have sufficient English ability. A TOEFL score of at least 550 on the paper based test (213 CBT, 80 IBT) is preferred. Applicants should note that no courses are available in scientific or technical fields. While knowledge og the Japanese language or a major dealing with Japan are not required, students who have demostrated a strong interest in Japan are preferable.

1. Application for Shor-Term Study Abroad Program;
2. Application for JASSO Student Exchange Support Program (Scholarship for Short-term Study in Japan);
3. Certificate of Enrollment of the applicant for student exchange support program;
4. Official transcript (English Version);
5. Pledge;
6. Two letters of recommendation from faculty members;
7. Certificate of English ability (TOEFL or IELTS) for non-native speaker of English
8. Letter of nomination (surat pencalonan dari Dekan ditujukan ke Kepala Kantor Urusan Internasional)

Document submission

Submit two sets (one original and one copies) of your documents to Office of International Affairs UGM before April 8, 2010
